Refund & Cancellation Policy
The Villa is operated by Villanueva Creative Pty Ltd (Australia).
This policy is straightforward: pay for the month, get the month. Cancel anytime. No tricks.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. No hoops, no guilt trips.
- Hit the Cancel button in your resident dashboard. That's it.
- Your access continues until the end of your current billing period. You've paid for it, you keep it.
- There's no minimum commitment and no notice period beyond the current cycle.
- Your Discord resident role will be removed at the end of your billing period.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails, you get a 7-day grace period to update your payment details. We won't pull the plug immediately. Life happens.
If the payment issue isn't resolved within 7 days, your access and Discord role will be removed. You can rejoin anytime by updating your payment method.
Refunds
How It Works
Your subscription gives you full access to The Villa for the billing period you've paid for. We do not offer change-of-mind refunds on subscription payments.
This is a subscription service, the same as any other monthly subscription. You pay, you get access for the month. If it's not for you, cancel before your next billing date and you won't be charged again.
Australian Consumer Guarantee Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If there is a major failure in the service we provide, you are entitled to a refund. A major failure includes:
- The platform is inaccessible for an extended period and we are unable to fix it within a reasonable time
- The content is significantly different from what was described at the time of purchase
- The service has a problem that would have stopped you from subscribing if you had known about it
We will never claim "no refunds on digital products." Your consumer guarantee rights always apply, regardless of how long you've been a resident.
How to Request a Refund
If you believe you're entitled to a refund under the Australian Consumer Law:
- Email us at villanuevacreative@gmail.com with your name and the email associated with your account.
- Tell us what went wrong.
- We'll review your request and respond within 2 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed within 5 to 10 business days to your original payment method (via Stripe).
Chargebacks
We always prefer to resolve things directly. If you have an issue with a charge, please contact us first. We're reasonable people and we'll sort it out.
If a chargeback is filed without contacting us first, we will provide evidence to contest it.
Founding Resident Pricing
Our founding residents ($59 USD/month) lock in that rate for as long as their subscription stays active. If a founding resident cancels and later decides to return, they rejoin at the current standard rate ($89 USD/month). The founding rate is not held or reinstated.
